Caged Bear: With regards to the posting about Pollok not being in the second round of the OVD Scottish Junior Cup, can I just reiterate that they were beaten by ARTHURLIE on penalties in the first round. Let me say that again coz it sounds so good - THEY WERE BEATEN BY ARTHURLIE ON PENALTIES in the first round. As a result, they're oot. Yahoo!

Wouldn't you like to know!: I think the criticism of frank and johnny is slightly merited but you only need to look at the committee to see where it stems from! even one of their wives(?) was spotted shouting obscenities at the opposition goalkeeper - so i think the problem lies far deeper than the management!

Johnston Signs On...

Following his doomed attempt to take over the hot seat at Dunterlie in the summer, Arthurlie have today announced the signing of Sammy Johnston from near rivals Neilston.  Sammy who has a wealth of experience will play centre back alongside the ever young Roland Fabiani and will make his debut against Neilston this coming Wednesday in the Sectio...

lol, couldn't keep that up if I tried...

Arthurlie have in fact announced the signing of trialist Brian Johnston - formerly of Lanark where he has knocked in a barrowload of goals in recent seasons.  Brian impressed with the goal that earned a draw with Hibs on Wednesday night and was signing up in a flash by Gary Faulds who was delighted to bring a fourth quality striker to the club.

Welcome aboard Brian!
