Site has been acting up a bit in the last week, not letting me add anything, but I have been trying to post on the 'Lie forum to keep the news coming in.
For those of you who don't know the latest:
Gerry McLaughlin has been placed on the transfer list, based on him not being able to displace the current midfielders from the team. While I felt that Gerry was someone I wanted to see in the team on a more regular basis, the decision is one which has to be respected and we all wish Gerry the best of luck with wherever he ends up.
Paul McLaughlin is strongly rumoured to have followed his brother out the exit door, although this is yet to be confirmed by the club.
Captain Roland Fabiani is now serving a three match ban following his dismissal against Shotts. Having appealed the decision, the disciplinary committee deemed the move frivoulous and added a further match to the original two imposed.
Fabi had this to say on the decision '[I have been] given a three match ban and £15 fine for what they said was a frivolous attempt to get off a red card...totally gutted and now missing the Scottish tie. At least I'll get to enjoy a few Arthurlie steak pies and watch a brilliant attacking team in action over the next few weeks.'
He sits out, if they go ahead, the matches with Renfrew (L), Montrose Roselea (SC) and the as yet unknown match to be played on 9th December.
New to the site today, an interview with midfielder Martin Hughes, click on the link on the left menu to check out what our vice captain has to say.
The game with Bellshill obviously went the same way as the Renfrew match last week, and with next week's match scheduled for a visit to Renfrew we will have to hope for an improvement in the weather if we are to have any match action before the next Scottish Cup tie. Results elsewhere saw Cumnock and Auchinleck to move further ahead at the top of the table, both recording 1-0 wins on Saturday.
